Oh my Drizz-kitty, please come home...
Where are you, my Drizz-Drizz?
This morning, after my shower, I noticed my cat Drizz was not there to have his breakfast. He LOVES breakfast. So I started looking. And looking... and usually about this time is when the silly kitty comes out from wherever he's hiding, sneaks up behind us with a "Who're you looking for, mom?" look on his face. But there was no kitty.
So then, we started being concerned that maybe he'd found his way outside; Bill goes out several times in the evening to smoke, so he'd have had several opportunities. But Drizz has never been outside, nor does he have any claws. And of course, I'd taken his collar off and hadn't yet put it back on again. Yes, I'm kicking myself for that.
I stayed home from work and tore the house apart. If he's here, he's probably in one of the crawl-spaces in the basement. And if he's in there, and not coming out or making any noise (despite temptations of his favorite tuna) then he's probably very sick, or stuck, or...
I'm sick with worry. I'm frantic. The worst thing is I don't know where he is. Is he alive? Does he need me? Why won't he come when I call? He always has before. Always.
My pretty kitty, please come back to me, wherever you are.

Please keep us up to date. This is my biggest fear as a cat owner. I do have faith that everything will be fine for your kitteh. Try looking behind the appliances if you have not already - that's where our guys lurk when we cant' find them...
Daisy and I are sending "go home Drizz" thoughts your way.
