Why is it not October?

I have more details-planning to do before my trip to the UK, but I feel like I'm SO READY to just BE THERE, you know?  I'm all set to see the Doctor Who stuff, all set to meet up with cool angry-feeters, all set to finally see Tim Minchin himself, all live and real and doing the funny.

And next up... Australia?  Maybe?  The husband and I like to go someplace warm in winter (around my birthday in January, or early February perhaps) to get away from the ice and snow and yuk that is Illinois.  This year was going to be Mexico, but now Tim is (probably) touring Australia around that time, and so, for me (freak that I am) I think this is the perfect excuse/opportunity to go see the Land Down Under.  Since we'd be visiting several cities, I offered forth the idea of renting motorcycles and seeing the countryside that way.  Fun?  Yeah?  Certainly an intriguing idea.  I believe the husband is interested, but he's far, far more monetarily-wise than I am (and responsible) so it might just not be possible. 

If we don't, I will be sad.
