Friday Night with Jonathan Ross airs in the United States on 30 Oct 2009 on BBC America.
BUT, if by chance you don't get BBC America (shame on you) here's the interview:
He appeared on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross and sang this hilarious song:
Pretty cool interview - just before his show in Glasgow a couple of days ago.
Tim Minchin's "Storm" - from his Ready For This? DVD
Feels very strange. Not just the time difference and the feeling of not being quite here at all, but the adjustment back to the everyday routine. Although I really do need to get back to the gym. I didn't gain weight on this trip but I also certainly didn't lose any, either!
I've got my one picture with Tim - it's blurry due to it being taken with one of those fancy manual cameras, but at least it's obviously me in it. So there you go - proof that I was indeed on a freakishly long trip following Tim Minchin around England. 14 shows in 3 weeks - lots of friends, tons of cider, and extreme amounts of fun.
And now, back to the decidedly comedy-lacking grind.
Last night was Brighton-
That's Tim's new piano!
The stage door was open after the show allowing the crew to dismantle, and I couldn't resist that awesome picture.
The show was a great one - he seemed much less tired and very excited about his piano (which, he said, he'd wanted since he was 8). The bear was a good one tonight too - and we got lots of extra keytar bits. Hilarity and lovely music!
He did come out to see the fans after the show as well. I'm excited because Chris Cox (@bigcox) was also there and I was able to say hello and introduce myself to him. He gave me two of his 'I <3 Cox' badges which meakes me special because he said he really only gives those to people who have been to his show. Which of course I fully intend to see... someday!! He did say he would be spending some time in the States, so maybe I'll catch his show then.
Tim continues to be lovely and inspiring and baffled by my continued enthusiasm. He's just about the best human in the world, as far as I'm concerned.
I've stayed with lovely friends Tilly and Harvey the past couple of days - they've been very kind and excellent hosts.
Roll on, Stoke-On-Trent!
You can now purchase Tim Minchin's newest album, 'Ready For This' (live at Queen Elizabeth Hall) on iTunes! This is the first album that is truly "internationally available" (although you CAN purchase his other albums from his website, www.timminchin.com... you just have to have the CDs shipped from England.)
GO HAVE A LISTEN. It's fantastic.
This one is, for me at least. Tomorrow I'm taking off for a couple of days in Chicago - mainly to see Neil Gaiman accept his Young Adult Book Award at the Printer's Row Lit Fest, but also to run around and see other things, like the Harry Potter Exhibition at the Museum of Science and Industry.
So, how about some Tim Minchin for your Thursday? This is some "classic" Tim, which someone has illegally ripped from his "So F**king Rock" DVD. Enjoy!
This isn't new, but the vid is a better one that has previously appeared on YouTube.
It's the "JLA Song"!
